Questions
No. At the moment, Yotri works with most single-colour 6-sided dice with dots or numbers in a regular font. To be sure players have a set of dice that works for them, we include 3 dice (white with black dots) in every Yotri box, of which we're sure they'll work reliably.
Yes, but with limited access. You can create an account on Yotri.games and try out the games for one week without the Yotri Dock or the Yotri Sync app. After that, you need to unlock your account using the product code included in your Yotri Dock.
Most phones up to 80mm width and 11mm thickness will physically fit in the phone holder. If you're unsure your device will fit, shoot us an email with your device specifications at hey@yotri.eu, and we'll check for you. If you're using a phone case, check if the case is not wider than 80mm, and not higher than 11mm.
The app is available for iOS (version 15.1 and newer), and Android (version 8.0 and newer). Please keep in mind that phones with limited processing capacity may take longer to process a throw result.
No. Dice recognition is highly accurate under normal conditions but, like any camera-based system, performance depends on lighting, camera quality and cleanliness, phone positioning and the condition of the dice.
The Yotri Sync app only uses video for dice recognition. All processing is done on the device itself, and only the result of the throw is sent to the server. No video or personal data ever leaves your smartphone.
